The fourth edition of Toronto’s unusual International Festival of Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality Stories will be hosted in the newly refurbished and rejuvenated Matador Ballroom. The age-old Matador Ballroom that has witnessed the thrilling performances of the great American singer Johnny Cash and several other international, as well as local superstars, will be reopened solely for the purpose of Toronto’s festival after a decade-long gap.
The two-hour long journey at the Matador Ballroom will allow the patrons to explore the fresh cult of filmmakers, producers, technologists and acclaimed designers who leave no stone unturned to plunge deeper into the vivid arena of immersive arts and entertainment. The content inside the Ballroom can be experienced in the form of Holograms, Projection Mapping, and synchronized multiple user Playbacks. The beautiful event can be experienced from a cozy swivel chair or through a room scale VR.
The three-day long event will begin it’s magical tour for the locals and patrons from around the globe from 14th to 16th September 2018. It will run from 12 noon to 9 p.m. daily.
Tickets for the event costs CA$ 42.00 plus an additional fee of CA$ 8.75 and HST. The wristband that is exclusively present for the talks and panels costs CA$ 21.00 with GST and an additional fee of CA$ 4.72. You can also buy an additional 8 token sleeve for 80 minutes and an additional 2 token sleeve for 20 minutes that costs CA$ 25.24 and CA$ 5.01 respectively plus an additional HST.
