The field of Virtual and Augmented Reality is proving to be of great use when it comes to different aspects of human life.  From being used in games for entertainment purpose to aiding hospice workers to understand the experience of death making it easier for them to help their patients leave the world calmly, the mixed reality is slowly proving it’s significance. In new inventions, it is also confirming its cardinal role in the life of people with disabilities.

In a new step towards making the life of a person with disabilities comfortable and simple, Microsoft is exploring new ways to widen the area of interaction for disabled people in its new system known as Windows Mixed Reality. This fresh initiative by Microsoft will aid people with limited range of movement to communicate with the virtual objects.

This new patent by Microsoft envisions a system that will automatically adjust itself to the unique motion range and rotation of the person, making it easier for them to interact with the virtual objects. This fresh adaption by Microsoft patent would also proportionalise the motion of a person so that they can access a greater area that would have been otherwise impossible for them with their limitations.

In the recent past also, Microsoft has shown interest in expanding the area for people with disabilities in their recent launches. This was prominently noted in the recent modifications in Windows and the Adaptive Xbox Controller. And this new move by the company is surely going to help persons with limited mobility to expand and explore their world.

But on the other hand, we should also not forget the fact that not all patents see the light of the day as some of the patents are aborted midway due to the lack of positive results. Although we should hope and wish that this incredible idea should be designed and manufactured successfully as this invention has the ability to redesign millions of disabled people in the world.
