Augmented and Virtual Reality platforms are the hot buzz of the world these days. Not only this tech aids in solving the problems easily and efficiently but it also provides a deeper insight into the task at hand.
In a recent update by the widely used social networking application, Snapchat, launched its brand new augmented reality developer platform titled ‘Scan’. Snap, which was earlier known as Snapchat Inc has announced its collaboration with Photomath. This fresh association between the Croatian Photomath and Snap, is surely a great news for the students around the globe as it will allow the students to solve mathematical problems in a flash.
The social media giant, Snapchat, also declared its partnership with Giphy which will help the Snapchat camera to identify objects, which then spawn related GIFs onscreen.
This new interactive AR platform will soon be launched in the market for the application users and the company also announced that developers interested in joining the point and interact augmented reality platform can contact Snap for future collaborations.
In the first ever Snap press event titled the Snap Partner Summit, Snap’s CEO Evan Spiegel addressed the media quoting “Our camera lets the natural light from our world penetrate the darkness of the internet . . . as we use the internet more and more in our daily lives, we need a way to make it a bit more human.”
Earlier, the camera in the software application of Snapchat was able to identify songs with the aid of Shazam. Also, the app was able to identify objects making it easier for them to grab them from Amazon. But with this new feature, users will be able to scan their entire surrounding by just tapping on the camera and holding in front. Users will also be provided with a Snapchat AR bar that will contain a dedicated bar allowing the users to Scan, create their unique lens or explore the 400,000 lenses created by the community of Snapchat.
The media company has also declared that it will start an ad network, Garner stories in other mobile applications and also instigate a real-time multiplayer games platform.
