Now Experience the World of Salvador Dali Through Virtual Reality
If you are a Dali fan and you find yourself in Florida, this is one field trip you cannot miss!
The Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida is a celebration of all the wonderful work of Salvador Dali. If we consider the collections of Dali’s work outside Europe, it will be safe to say that it is housed in Florida in the United States of America. This magical museum with a waterfront setting is home to some of the most exceptional artwork of Dali. So, if you are a Dali fan and you find yourself in Florida, this is one field trip you cannot miss!
However, we digress! Now, fans can see Dali’s artwork through the incredible technology of Virtual Reality (VR). The museum recently collaborated with the Community Redevelopment Agency of downtown Clearwater to bring forth a one-of-a-kind experience to the visitors. Now, thanks to this partnership, you can enjoy the most magical paintings and artwork of Dali through VR. You can do this by using a pair of Virtual Reality headset and googles to see his artistic creations in a new light. As a result of this ingenious partnership, you can now experience the perfect marriage of technology and art.
This virtual reality experience promises to be like no other VR encounter that has ever been created. Loraine Rossati, a Clearwater visitor from the United Kingdom, tried this exhibition online when in town and was pleasantly surprised. In her words,
I’ve never done it before, and I didn’t know what to expect. But it’s a total immersion into an alternative universe. It feels like you can see the ground and usually I have this horrible fear of falling. But I felt completely safe where I was. I’ve been to Dali’s castle in Spain, and I’ve seen the statue of the elephants there. This is a whole new level.
Visitors can enjoy this exhibit absolutely free of cost till June end. In addition to that, it is a great idea to engage locals in some of the fantastic artwork of artists long gone who left a mark on the planet with their unparalleled creations. If you love both art and technology, this exhibit is designed just for you!
