Ever since the launch of Ingress, Niantic has been bringing people together in games that are as lively as the real world. It has introduced games rich in real-world achievements, live events as well as novel story elements. The platform had a vision not just to introduce characters in their games but to become one with the game itself. As a result, they created memorable adventures across the world where one could become Agents, Trainers, and even Wizards.

Some popular and successful Niantic games and live events over the years include Pokémon GO Fest, Safari Zones, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite Fan Festival, and Ingress anomalies. All these events have been enjoyed by people far and wide. They have allowed users to explore all kinds of locales, such as cities and parks, to forge new friendships and unlock exciting experiences.

As a part of their next journey in the world of adventure gaming, the Niantic platform is all set to announce its partnership with the British Theatre Company, Punchdrunk. Founded in 2000, Punchdrunk has taken over the world with its transformational and immersive theatre for adults and kids alike.

Niantic has an exciting new game in the pipeline called CATAN – World Explorers. In this all-new game, users will be able to transform cities, towns, and neighborhoods across the world into a giant CATAN board game. Naturally, this game is the result of a collaboration with the CATAN team. The beta version of this game is expected to be released shortly.

In the same vein, their partnership with Punchdrunk is expected to open new horizons for the company as well as its fans. Together, the two creative companies are working on multiple projects to reinvent the sheer concept of storytelling and take interactive entertainment to new heights for their loyal audiences.

While Punchdrunk creates immersive AR experiences for its users, Niantic is famed for doing the same in real life. Their collaboration is expected to redefine the existing rules of mobile gaming and mesh augmented reality and real-world experience like never before.
