Natuzzi Group, an Italian furniture company that was founded in 1959, is all set to launch a virtual reality store for immersive shopping experience for its customers. This Italian furniture brand has its Augmented Store in the Madison Avenue showroom of New York City.

This store allows customers to immerse themselves in a digital version of their homes in VR and then decorate their houses with the stunning pieces of Natuzzi.

This is another era of advanced customer service. Using this Augmented Store, customers can see how a particular piece of furniture would look in a specific space in their house.

In order to make that happen, customers will need to wear the HoloLens 2 headset by Microsoft to change colors & patterns, move things around as well as interact with their environment.

As shared by Pasquale Junior Natuzzi, the Creative Director of the company, “It gives them a sense of place and mood that’s almost as real as a physical furniture display, and the experience helps them form an emotional connection to their choices.”

Based on all the testing done by the popular Italian furniture brand, it is predicted that the deep engagement level offered by this Augmented Store will go a long way to minimizing the closing ratio of the brand by one-third at the very least.

Moreover, it is also expected that more Augmented Stores will be launched in the future by the end of the years 2020 throughout the world to make it more accessible for people. This will also lead to less inventory for the showrooms, which means they will have to take up less space and square footage.

This reduced space requirements and the overall cost will also mean the expansion of several stores worldwide.

This is an attempt on the part of Natuzzi to emulate other brands such as the retail giant IKEA and Opendesk. Moreover, this new development in the furniture brand will attract more customers, thanks to the cutting-edge technology that allows them to see just how a piece of furniture will look in their house before buying it.
