Google Introduces Glass Enterprise Edition 2 For $999

Google recently announced the introduction of the all-new edition of its Glass product, which will be known as “Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2.” It comes with a price tag of $999 and promises a new set of features, a new design and a quicker production time with improved quality.

The First Enterprise Edition of Google came and stayed without the giant conglomerate, making a big deal about these AR headsets. There was also a significant bit of controversy surrounding the product regarding its functionality and privacy. This is probably why the news of the Second Edition comes as a surprise to many. That said, the company has definitely graduated from its initial design and specs that could fold like a pair of regular glasses and change to an Intel Atom SoC.

Google shares all the novel and exciting specs of Edition 2 in a blog post. Besides being less expensive than the first edition which cost $1500, this new edition is also substantially faster and more accessible than its former Explorer Edition. It has an enhanced camera, a brand-new processor as well as a USB-C port that promotes a quick charging experience for the user. According to the revelations made by Google of the product specs, this new and improved version of the Google Glass has advanced machine learning capabilities and computer vision.

This new gadget from Google has definitely given the company a number of bragging rights as it boasts that businesses have shared feedback with the words “improved quality, reduced costs, and faster production times.”

Also, as shared by Google in its blog post, the features of Glass Enterprise Edition 2 have been built on those of the first edition, only they have been improved significantly for the ease of use of and content quality. Users can also enjoy an increased battery life so that they can use Glass for long hours between the fast charging that the product supports.
