Snappables will slowly roll out worldwide with the new updates along with other new lenses which are released periodically.

According to officials, new games will be rolled out every week.

To play any snappable game, go to the same old Lens carousel and select from the left of the capture button. On-screen instructions will help you learn more about using it for the best experience.

Last week, before the unveiling of Snappables, Snap Inc. acquired their own game engine called PlayCanvas for an undisclosed amount. This small London-based company was founded in 2011 and raised upto $600k in a series of VC fund investments. Playcanvas was focused on radically improving new consumer features.

The code for snappables was first spotted by Killer Features blog, which was originally intended to create collaborative snaps or moments with other users.

With the release of Snappables, Snap Inc. aims to remain relevant to its vast user base which easily gets bored. And there is a bigger motivation for Snap. Snappables will help the company to venture into AR, the future of the industry.

Snapchat has already positioned itself at the bottom without an early adoption of AR, but it is never too late. The company has aced its competitive space earlier and it won’t be too hard for innovative Snap to get an edge in AR.
