In a fresh project by the Grammy-award winning artist and the Founder of Black Eyed Peas, Will.i.am you will find both the melody of music and the voodoo of Augmented Reality into different types of interactive experiences.
“We’re doing music, (documentary), short film, long-form, graphic novel, AR, VR,” says Will.i.am, whose full name is William Adams. “Things that we’ve never done. Things that the industry hasn’t done.”
Will.i.am describes this new magical Masters of the Sun project as the tale of the different phases of hip-hop culture. This project is produced by Will.i.am in the joint collaboration with Marvel and the story depicts a group of hip-hop stars up against an ancient God metamorphosing gangsters into zombies depicting the spread out of drugs in predominantly black communities in 1980’s.
This fantastic graphic novel by Will.i.am can be experienced fully with the help of an assisting AR application, which enhances the reader’s experience by presenting the characters as live beings in a 3-D space. When you proceed further, the characters and scenes seem to pop out from the screen giving the reader a more realistic experience.

Also, the graphic novel includes an hour long, Oculus backed VR movie, orchestrated by Black Eyed Peas and the genius score composer Hans Zimmer. It stars some of the greatest legends of hip-hop like KRS-One, Rakim, and Queen Latifah.
The Black Eyed Peas are all set to promote this AR novel in their Augmented Reality shows with their Masters of the Sun European Tour this autumn. In the finals, the spectators will be encouraged to use their mobile phones and explore the stage via the app that magnifies and amplifies the live performance by the artists by adding a colorful spectrum of graphics.
Will.i.am quoted that the entire Augmented Reality experience will be like Pokemon Go on steroids. He also added that the audience will experience something spectacular through the lens of their phones.
