Go Back in Time With The Nintendo Virtual Boy Emulator

Relive the iconic gaming system all over again through the VR Emulator!

Everyone in the gaming world might have heard of a certain product of Nintendo known by the name of Nintendo Virtual Boy. Now, Virtual Reality (VR) has made it possible to relive this iconic system all over again and go back in time to 1995 through the VR Emulator!

Although Virtual Reality might not have risen to the heights experts initially predicted it to, but it has still come a long way in no time at all. The perfect testament to this statement is the revival of Nintendo’s Virtual Boy with the HMDs of today.

In 1995, Virtual Boy was designed with high hopes to deliver stereoscopic 3D graphics to the players. Unfortunately, it ended up being quite a commercial failure. The reason was quite simple. The system offered a compelling sense of depth but could not succeed because of its inability to display the video games in any color but red and also due to its uncomfortable and poor design. Result? The production of Virtual Boy was stopped, and the device was discontinued merely a year after its release.

However, thanks to the all-new VBjin Emulator, Virtual Boy has been recreated and is back in an even better avatar! How it works is quite straightforward! The VBjin emulator gives an opportunity to all users to enter the world of Virtual Boy through a VR headset like the Oculus Rift. Thereafter, the players are able to experience the 32-bit graphics in addition to the spectacular red visuals that have been released by the video games on the system. Originally, the emulator was designed to run only on Windows. However, with the recent dramatic growth in the VR technology, the dead platform of Virtual Boy has received another chance at life within a fully immersive environment of VR.

When it was released in 1995, the product had an abysmally short life, and a total of 22 video games were launched in the North American region and Japan. Due to the extremely poor sales of the units, it didn’t surprise us when most titles from these video games failed to impress in the grand scheme of things. There were a few that did well but then Nintendo canceled the production, and they were stopped as well.

VBjin is quite possibly the best version the system has ever experienced. It gives the users an opportunity to experience the characteristic horror of Virtual Boy comfortably and reliably. Nintendo lovers are certainly in for a surprise!
